Horse Shows That Really Make Us Smile

Many clubs around the nation are hurting.  With a decline in entries and skyrocketing costs can cripple even the most stable club, it takes a special group of people to create momentum and build membership and Dixie Paint Horse Club is doing just that.

Because of their incredible efforts they are our Spotlight Event.

This club is doing everything right and other clubs should take note.  The year started off with a FREE Amateur and Youth show.  Pay for one open class and get your Youth and Amateur classes free.  Despite incredibly poor weather and an outdoor arena, this plucky club had over 500 entries and saw people haul hundreds of miles, as well as locals who had never been to a breed show club and smiles everywhere.

They did not stop there, they have free jackets giveaways, sponsored patches, pot lucks, games - you name it, they will do it.  Even as costs rise the DPHC has tried to hold costs down.  One great way is to combine efforts with the Florida Pinto Club and hold APHA/PtHA shows.

The September 12 and 13 show is one of these shows.  If you are a Youth or Amateur you can do an all day fee for BOTH slates of classes for a mind blowing $75 per judge.  That alone should make anyone smile, but the friendliness of this club will astound you - we dare you to walk away unhappy.
