Cam Foreman, Executive Director of shows has confirmed to The Quarter Horse Quarterly that Cleve Wells has been suspended by the AQHA for one year with a $10,000 fine.  Wells will be allowed to request reinstatement at that time.  "Yes I can officially say that Mr. Wells is suspended," Foreman said.  "We should have an official statement up on aqha.com very quickly.  In fact it was supposed to be up by noon but it seems that we are still working on getting it up." Wells was also removed from the AQHA Professional Horsemans Association regarding the allegations surrounding Slow Lopin Scotch, an AQHA gelding who was at Wells' training farm.  Wells was charged with violation of rule 104 in the AQHA rulebook which states:
